Introductions - Another new joiner!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi,
Just signed up to the forum. Been enjoying reading the postings. I bought my bike in February this year. First one since school -years and years ago. Wasn't sure what I wanted so bought a Hybrid. Have ended up doing a mix of on and off-road to start with and now doing progressively longer on-road trips. Now looking at getting a pure road bike and a pure MTB! Addicted or what!:)

Yup, you're addicted :) . Just remember that the perfect number of bikes is b + n = bikes.
So, what kind of bikes are you looking at? Perhaps we can lure you to the wonderful world of vintage steel, WITH LUGS! That's a true addiction, you know.
Welcome to BF!

Thanks for the reply.
Looking at something light - usual hi tech materials rather than steel. I am gradually building up my distances so I can start Audax events. The Southern Region Audax organiser lives in my village which is handy.
I have just started a new contract 12 miles from home so will start commuting when the rain stops!:)

Vintage steel isn't THAT heavy unless you're talking about a Schwinn Contivarsity :) .
It could be months before it stops raining--last I heard (yesterday), there were still torrential downpours.
