Hey all,
I'm in the process of completely overhauling my bike and I'm about to lose all control. I want to upgrade my groupset. Currently I ride on Shimano 105, which I have found very reliable and generally smooth. I'm interested in switching either to Dura-Ace or moving to Campy and going with Record.
Any thoughts on the matter or preferences of one group over the other?
Regards,

This is how I look at it. You really can't go wrong with either groupo. Where personal preference comes into play is whether to go with Ergo or STI. Other than that, if it were up to me I would equip an Euro frame with Campy and all other frame makes with Shimano.
let the shifters decide this contest. ride a bike equiped with each and decide which shifter operability best suits you.
But remember either system is easy tolearn and adapt so perhaps other factors will decide for you.
I like the Ergo shifters but I prefer the Shimano drivetrain. Dilemna isn't it!!
I chose campy in the end. The pimp in me won.......

Unless you race and really need a few grams weight advantage, you might consider Chorus, too.
I agree with TimB, go test ride a bike with each and see what feels better. Both are excellent groups Record looks better :) The main difference when you go top of the line is in the shifters and that is a personal preference.
