The annual Tour de Road America benefiting the Lance Armstrong Foundation in Elkhart Lake, WI.

The fundraising ride takes place on the 4.0 mile Road America auto racing circuit on Friday, August 10, 2007 at approx. 6:30 pm., following the day's auto racing activities.

The ride is open to cyclists of all abilities and all kinds of bikes.

"The tour" holds special appeal for participants. For auto racing fans, it's a chance to ride along side their racing heroes from the American Le Mans, Champ Car, and Atlantics Series. For avid cyclists, it's a rare opportunity to challenge the hills and 14-turns of the circuit. The ride appeals to families due to its wide smooth pavement, and a traffic-free, controlled environment.

Pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt, water bottle, and Cytomax Sport Drink.

Information and registration details for the Tour de Road America are available at www.pelotonride.org (http://www.pelotonride.org)

Sounds neat, that's a cool course. I've heard that if it's a hot day, that rubber layed down by the cars can get a 'little squishy' on narrow bike tires. Just a heads up.
