I foresee a picture of a foot being placed in a mouth coming soon. I don't know. Maybe it's just me.

You think his team would oust him based on these allegations? Have the Tour's organizers gotten so desperate for a 'clean' winner that they'd boot someone because someone says he was involved in something , what was it, 6-7 years ago? Im not saying they wouldn't, but I think it would be ridiculous. If Millar had won the prologue and gotten yellow(er...the real yellow jersey, not his teams yellow jersey), would they have kicked him out? Heh.

You think his team would oust him based on these allegations?Apparently a rider can be banned just like if he/she were doping for not disclosing his/her whereabouts and be warned about it three times by UCI. I read somewhere he may have gotten four warnings, two directly from UCI and one/two from DCU. The DCU warnings apparently can be turned into UCI warnings afterwards, but they are still being processed. One of them supposedly where he claimed to be training in Italy but actually trained (and maybe did more than plain training - who knows) in Mexico...
I think if he were to banned it is because of that, not because of allegations from a former rider.

Yours or mine ? ;)
Unless something else surfaces, no way! That would be too devastating to the Tour and cycling to just kick out the yellow jersey on a shaky allegation (no hard evidence).

I hope not, but I don't put anything past the UCI any more.
If they did decide to boot him out, I wouldn't be surprised if it happened after he loses the yellow jersey.
Yours or mine ? ;) Hahaha. Touche.

Well,
unfortunately, if you do not presume guilt when someone breaks the doping controls, your controls are no good. If every rider can get away with cheating by not informing the authorities of their whereabouts when training, you will not clean-up the sport.
Reminds me of a CycleSport article last year with Basso. He explained how much he liked to train alone. Hmmmm.....any ideas why?
I am not convinced he is out of the woods yet. This is not just some random accusation. These are the Danish authorities essentially telling Rasmussan that he did not disclose the location of his training, and in doing so, have given the Danish authorities enough to at least highly suspect he was doping and did not want to be tested.

As a matter fact, yes -- glad you asked.:)
Eventually it will become common knowledge that Floyd, Tyler, Indurain, and yes Lance Armstrong were out and out dopers.....
It may take a while, but even Pete Rose came clean.
As I said before.... you heard it here first :)

ummm....okay I'll give you props for the Ras prediction, but out of the 4 people you mentioned becoming known for doping 2 have already been charged so you've kinda stacked the odds a little bit....

I hope you don't mind watching the TdF on a Serbian low bandwidth internet player because that's about the only place you'll be seeing it next year.

Thanks for the props...:) ;)
Ok, that's true 2 out of 4 have been charged, but I still think a lot of people think Floyd is innocent. That will change eventually....
In fact, I think the test case (pun very much intended ;-)) is Lance. Once people realize what a congenital liar and doper he is, the whole deck of cards will come tumbling down, and pro-cycling where doping is not the norm will become a possibility.

Versus is reporting that Rasmussen is gone, along with the entire Rabobank team. Apparently Chicken was training in the Dolomites when his paperwork claimed he was in Mexico. Also Christian Moreini failed a test and his Cofidis team dropped out, too. Moreini isn't requesting a b-sample test, either.

What was that post for ?!? --we all already know this...
But thanks for the newsflash anyways Notsofat. Just so you know, the point of this thread is now to lavish praise on the OP for being so prescient  :D

Clearly at the time I made the "prediction" it was not a given, not a sure thing -- can we agree on that??
