I saw this ride on Bikeportland and it sounds like a lot of fun. But I am not sure about the parking around the start point with the Bite of Portland going on at the same time. I thought about taking the train down but it gets in too late.
It gets pretty crazy, more riders than you can immagine, the line for the first group start at list over an hour befere the actual start time. I did it for two years, the first time with a trailer and my single bike, daughter in tow, and my wife on her bike, slowly going and on most bridges you have to walk because there are too many people, we started around mid morning and did the short loop, it took us forever.
Secod year went there early but there were tons of people in line, so I sneaked in a bit, I was riding a tandem by myself, got a lot of comments, still pretty slow going until we all got stopped on the 405 bridge because the second part of the route was still closed, once they opened was a sprint to the St Johns bridge and we went a bit faster, did the 10 bridges and got my daughter and wife and did the short loop, again very slowly, a lot of bike traffic and most bridges we had to walk.
I might go to see the bikers go by or jump in for a bridge or two.
Ciao
