I'm new to Tri/Du and was wondering about warm-ups for the latter. As a note, I've also done
Tri's as relays where someone else does the swimming and I do the bike and run leg. For those
I just do a 30-45 minute warm-up on the bike similar to what I'd do for an individual TT (bike) and leave it at that. At my last event I ended up standing around for 1/2 hour doing nothing just to be sure I got a good spot in the transition area to rack my bike prior to the start. Otherwise I'd much prefer to start racing 5 minute after my warm-up ends.
I don't think I'll be doing many more of those type. It will either be tri or du that I am doing myself. So how do you warm-up for a Du when you better have a nice place to rack your bike in the transition area? Do you scrap it and warm-up on running???
