Seems like it. We were over 76k 30 days ago, and we've been averaging over 100 members/day.

Is there a way of telling how many of those 80,000 are active members? And if some are new names for people who used to post, quit and came back?

I have a figure for active members, but I don't know how that number is determined, so it's kind of pointless. We did do a purge of members that hadn't logged in for 12-18 months, so it's fairly up to date.

Congrats! I noticed as well that there were something like 13,000 logged in at one time. With a number like that, I would assume most are relatively active.
