Hey, the thread on the Windmill Century reminded me. The Cool Breeze is coming up (okay, not quite, but 4 weeks is closer than Christmas!!). My goal for this century is to beat my personal record for time. My goal would be to finish at around 5 hours (thats 4:45 to 5:15 or so).

I know that I cannot do it alone, so is there anyone else going? Are you up to putting in a 19--21mph pace? I know Keith (and Carrie and Sarah et. al.) rode the Conejo and I managed to tack on to the back of their train near the end. Anything similar at CB?

Bill S. (ezrider) was targeting Cool Breeze for basically the same goal -- he wants to do a sub-5hr century. And last I heard, he had recruited a few SFVBC riders to join him in that quest. I think maybe even Keith, which would almost guarantee that the goal is met! You should definitely hook up with them. I am not registered, but I am on the fence (would ride renegade with them).

Would be fun to join you for the Century but no way can I keep a speed like that! Last year I completed the ride in 6:20 (butt time). I'll just sit up and watch you guys smoke me.

(I've been thinking about posting a "Wanted" notice as well for my hybrid course. First part of the DM and then return from Manning Park, about 75 miles with climbs)

Thanks for the info. I'll be at the club Saturday rides the next couple-a weeks with m'boys. If you happen to be there and see him, let me know. I'd love to hook-up.

Mark, you can PM Bill here as ezrider. I'll write to him and tell him you're not some creepy stalker type. I will be at the CB century for the 5th 0r 6th time, but I never do those things for time. I like to enjoy my centuries, like we did at the Conejo.
