just wanted to vent my frustration a bit.......

went for a ride on my rockhoper on sunday, and the last switchback before the top I had to put a foot down (not the first on that climb). The nearest thing to put my foot on was a big rock at the turn's apex, which rolled away as soon as i touched it, so over I went. Not normally a problem, I only got a scratch. My bike however was scratched also, right on the stanchions:mad: . To top that ride off, I got a flat and my spare had a hole in it too.

Other than that, I did actually enjoy the ride :D

So thursday I finally buy myself some new cranks, and just as I am going to fit them I notice a crack in my frame   on the chainstay bridge. Had a mate weld the crack up today and now I've lost a washer :crash:

I just want to go ride

I hear your pain brother!! Just be happy it's riding the bike that keeps you from riding your bike again and not something lame like work!!

Hell I just did some looking around and a kid that I went to High School with is no a pro road cyclist for the United States Postal team.... ugggg... my life feels like a waist! I just want to go ride!!!! That's it.. I want to ride!!

Gotta move and get a new job so I can ride and have real dreams about making it pro!!

Ok, if this is a whine fest, let me in. I ate some dirt on a ride last Sunday and hurt my foot. It really hurt but I finished the ride and have gimped around this week. I rode my street bike yesterday and it really hurt so I went to the doctor. Now I have this big boot like thing on my foot and can't ride for weeks. Injuries suck eggs!!!!!!

My bike needs new rotors, my bottom bracket is nearly worn out, but half my crank arm threads are stripped, so I'm not sure if I'm going to have to replace the crank and the bottom bracket. At this point I'm trying to save up some cash for a new place and can't really afford another crankset. I also need some new rotors because mine are warped enough to make an annoying squeaking noise each rotation. My fork needs servicing, too. My bike is rideable, and at least I'm not injured.

:D

I suppose it's not all bad, the forks aren't leaking, the crack is fixed and I found the washer! :)

I might go for a ride :D I have to try out my new cranks :P

I'm having a terrible WEAKend so for. Ok i bike to work every day of the week, it's only like 2miles to get there, but i bike there in the morning, come home at lunch, bike back after lunch and then bike home in the evening. Well I drove to work on friday because i wanted my legs to be nice and fresh for Sat. (today). Well apparently my left knee (which i've had "problems" with before) decided to act up, i think i hit it on something or something, but it's hard to move down and a little discomfort is there, i tried icing it last night, tried the ben gay, etc... then went to sleep hoping it'd be gone in the morning, man i wanted to ride so hard today, now i can barely even walk right on my left leg. I'm so pissed off right now.

I'm free!!! I had a cast on my foot for the last few weeks (that's after the boot thing for a week), but now it is history!! whoo hoo!!! I begged the dr to cut the cast off, but promised to take it easy for a few weeks;) I went out for a quick 10 mile street ride on my old mtb, and now it hurts so good. It's like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer because if feels so good when you stop. I wonder how old you have to get before you stop acting like a kid? Now if my liver would just repair itself from the last month of hard drinking.

Good gripe session....
I bruised my tailbone 3 weeks ago and haven't been on a bike since. In fact I haven't sat down or stood up without extreme pain. Okay, gripe over...that felt good.

Nothing to gripe about. Just replaced the brake pads on my jucy7's, and am anxious for the morning to come so I can go for a ride. Currently sitting back enjoying a cold one.

Life is good.
