08' Hardrock sport for $379.00 plus the lbs will swap out the saddle with a specialized milano and they'll swap out the tires with a set of armadillo tires (ones that come on the comfort model) for free. I'm also going to add some bar ends for $20.00.
Any thing else I should add right away?

2 water bottle cages, and bottles.
Doesn't look like a bad deal to me......:D
Nice looking bike. Looks like 32 spoke wheels. Might make sure they will support your weight. I would have them add at least one water bottle and cage BUT...I have one mounted and never use it as the Texas heat turns it into a hot water bottle in very short time.I guess that would be OK if I were trying to brew tea. I use a Camelback hydration pack that keeps the water cold.

Try the Polar insulated bottles and leave with them filled with ice and water. They stay cool a good while that way.
That does sound like a good price on a very solid bike. Good luck with it, you will love riding it.

Why is the dérailleur cog so huge?

A better saddle.
That comes from someone with saddles from old exercise bikes that were never really meant to be bike seats. They work, by cracky!]
Don't get me wrong, as I know little about modern seats. Then I'd get saddlebags or paperboy baskets and make it the grocery hauler if you're going to use it like that. Front basket too. I've never let storage space go wasted.

I don't know, but it looks good to me.
That's a killer ride!

If your LBS offers free installation of accessories at time of purchase you should consider getting a cycling computer installed so you can keep track of your domination.

Do you plan on commuting or using your bike for errands? If you do get a topeak clip rack and some fenders.
different saddle, light rack for carrying a gear and spare sack, cages for bottles, and make sure the pedals are wide enough to hold your feet comfy, ask for replacements if they aren't.
