Foo - HDTV and Computer question...

I am in the market for a small HDTV....32 inches 37 at the most.....I was hoping to use it as a computer monitor as well...just for a desktop not my main computer...I have a laptop for that....ALSO I would like to be able to use my PS3 on it.....I was hoping for some kind of theater system for it as well....yea yea I know I might be asking a lot....

I was looking at the 24 inch Imac....but I am not sure it has inputs for the PS3 or an HDTV tuner most likely from Cable...

The deal is I have a small room that I need a complete entertainment system for....I would like to get as much in one as I can.....

Maybe I am asking to much....

There's probably a more current model around now, with sizes up to 46 inches, but this type should do what you want.

How big is your room? Viewing distance for plasma and LCD is 3" for each inch of screen width.

Plasma handles fast movement (sports, games) better than LCD.
However plasma can get burn in from the permanent info display on most games.

Setting up the tv for an entertainment system (home theater?) is not an issue. The tv does not have a bearing on the audio portion of the set up.

As for what tv to look at, you can't go wrong with the Panasonic line of LCD and plasma.

I've been thinking about this too but haven't done any research on it...

Absolutely!

However plasma can get burn in from the permanent info display on most games.
Correct for most Plasmas; actually Panasonic took care of burn-in last generation, although it is excellent practice to never leave a Plasma on after a game.
