Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the dynamo world, thus far it seems there are two major manufacturers including shimano and schmidt. I have also noticed that bike stores in my area do not stock or even list them. After looking at peter white cycles there seem to be several schmidt models available but I am looking for a hub specifically for my Felt F85 road bike which has the slimmer 700c tires. Should I expect to need a new rim for the schmidt hub or can I use the hub with the stock rim of the F85? Will any schmidt model work with the felt F85 or is there a specific hub I should be looking at?
The dynamo generator will be used at first as a power supply for my college graduation project and afterwards for a night lighting system. My understanding is the hubs provide 6v 3w once you are up to speed which will be sufficient for my purposes.
