Electric Bikes - Converting Razor 650 to a 1600 watt lithium ebike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

After hooking up the motor, getting a longer shock and trying it out I have a plan for the chainless flex cable pedal drive. After I take the 750 watt motor off you wont notice the other 1600 watt thats half hidden behind the numbe plate The chain is the same but i will ise a 92 tooth a kevlar sprocket by bolting it to the existing freewheel sprocket. All I will need is another set of lithiums to have a pick up over fence dirt ebike with a range of 30 miles up dirt hills without needing to pedal. There may be a market ? Zoom in on your browser 400% and you may find the already mounted 5 lb motor installed on the top of the swingarm under the number plate, before I took out the orriginal 11 lb. motor and drive.
we have them for sale over here in canada. not sure what the market would be. if it was a full size dirtbike
sure. or a enduro. way to much power for a kid.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hJqVRO5zUkA For me it would be for a trip to the beach or store, emergencys when traffic gets blocked up I can park and whip it out of my truck to go 30 miles if needed.to go to waterfalls up 30% dirt trails for 6 miles or more to 4500 ft in elevation from the beach and best of all to race the neighborhood kids that have the same size high qiality dirt bikes the same size with gas engines.I can care less about future markets I just like to keep playing!
if you get the chance post some videos of this project working i would like to see how fast it is. and power:)

if you get the chance post some videos of this project working i would like to see how fast it is. and power:) I can tell you now that it will go 0 to 18 mph in 3.5 sec. It will just be a one speed to 20 mph max winding out.It will get the same kind of 5 lb motor and lithiums that on my ebikes and will weigh about the same.24 volts will make it safe for kids wtih 3 times the torque as the orriginal motor and gearing. It will have a top speed of 14 mph at 24 volts oposed to 17 mph stock but with all the torque needed at a great efficiency even when "Getting On It" with a fat dad driving. With a heavy hub motor you can always put tires on on the hub motor to save spoke weight and almost get enough torque with the wheel 12" or so but whats another 15 lbs of motor (you don't need) that will take twice the power to operate when "getting on it" from many stops? If it rides like a bicycle its a bicycle. If it rides like a motorcycle and it is made from bike parts its still considered a bicycle in most places. If it needs them a small pedal dyno will do fine.Or a flexable cable crank shaft liker Spicer insusrties uses on 2 WD bikes.Or just use the front wheel to pedal like a trike with removeable cranks. LOL Yea I would like to see some better eDirtBike legal ebike videos too. I should put a large licence plate on it that says "The Electric Outlaw" and get Mauis' Mayor riding it on Video. Mabe a E-clip e version EasyRider doing the EEEEEE HAAAAAA.
