This was something called Global Gutz, which apparently goes on simultaneously in cities all over the world. The route is 13 miles divided into checkpoints that you have to go to, and then there is a sign that tells you were the next one is, and so on. We started at Cals, went to Fulton and Wood, Chicago and Western, Armitage and Kedzie, Irving Park and Damen, Irving Park and Clark, and finally Racine and Diversey. It was a lot of fun. As far as the global part goes, I guess they somehow collect all the results and then the worldwide winner gets a plane ticket to Seattle. Of course the routes are different but they are all 13 miles (or the equivelent kilometers).
I don't know when the next thing is coming up but I will let you know if I hear of anything.

Yeah, GG has been around a few years...cool concept. I'd hate to be riding the Japan GG tho...too early (or too late). :)
