Unbelievable. I wonder what kind of gas mileage it gets.

I can't think of anything more boring than RV shows at a convention center.

I just love the way that thing ate the car in photos 1-4. How many roadsters do you have to feed it every month?

If I had that thing it wouldn't take any gas, I'd just park it in a friends driveway, and instead of eating roadsters it'd store a bike and a repair shop. Actually, I'd just sell it and buy a little farm up north and a new mountain bike.

Man, that is obscene. Does the red car spit out scooters from its belly?

People have money to burn in this country. I suspect that RV most cost over 1 million. You can live in that thing and wouldn't need a home. It used to be that living in an RV was for the poor but now its gone upscale.

Steve,
Probably not too far off the mark. It looks like a Prevost Chassis with a 450hp CAT in it. If you really wanted one you could possibly get it for a discount at $900k or so:roflmao: (and don't ask how I know;))

And you'd probably still have enough change to whip up one of these (http://youtube.com/watch?v=W0D3itDq9Yk), which actually intrigues me more.

That guy's answer to a 10mpg RV:D There was a thread on it a while back. It is quite an interesting piece of work. And it has reportedly been seen as far south as SoCal and as far North as Seattle.

He's a really nice guy. I got to talk to him at Pedalpalooza. He's worked as a migrant farm worker pedalling from farm to farm in SoCal in that thing. I think he like the weather and the work down there better, but people are kinder to him up here. :) It took him some time and effort to really rainproof it, too.

I'll second that! I saw the contraption outside one of the quickie marts on Vancouver Avenue and had to check it out.

I guess if you're pedaling around something like that, you've either got to be a really nice guy who enjoys meeting an endless stream of new people, or you'd go nuts in a week!

Haha I know, that thing looks cool, but you know every person that passes by will either look at you like you're nuts, or want to stop and talk.
So he's either a) a truely nice gregarious guy b) an attention ***** or c) completely nuts.

Good Lord, I think that thing's bigger than my house.

Edited to clarify, the RV is bigger than my house. My house IS slightly larger than the bike trailer. :p

Yep...it does have a couple of kick stands that are like a double stand with a piece of angle welded across the bottom, to stabilize it when parked. There was a link to it on Bike Portland a while back, but for some reason I have misplaced it. From what I can recall it is built out of square section aluminum tubing and angles, has something like 90 gears. The box part is made out of the blue styrofoam blue board (the good stuff) and covered in aluminum tape. At one time they made the Dow board with an aluminum facer on it, but I haven't seen it in years.

Honestly, I think he's a little bit of a and c. We like our extreme eccentrics around here, though. :)

Wow. With a "bus" like that, I wouldn't need a house. Like I could afford one if I had that mobile luxury condo in the first place. Let's not kid ourselves, that's what it is.

Yeah, and it even has off-street parking.

As "rich" as our society is, our appetite for mood altering pharmaceuticals just continues to grow.

I guess all those happy people in the commercials don't put osmotic pressure on reality.

This is what took me to India and back. Not quite as luxurious! I'm now thinking about how to build a pedal-powered RV though. I don't think I'd go two wheeled, however....

Not speaking of the RV bike. That thing is cool.

But as for the motor homes. Some people go to a lot of trouble and expense to replace a bicycle, trailer, canoe and backpacking tent.
