I hate to say it but I've gained over 8 steady lbs in the last 3 weeks, this isn't fluctuating. I weighed myself yesterday and scaled said 240 at my dad's house. Today I weighed myself and I'm at 239 on my scale. I know theres some muscle gain over the last 2 weeks..but 8lbs? And I've been burning so much calories and sweating so much.
I've been watching what I eat, no late night snacks and I have 3-4 meals a day(smaller quantities). I'm going to go for a late night walk with the dog and then check on the thread.

Have you been counting calories carefully, to see what you're really eating? It's possible you're eating more than you think. And powerbars and gatorade do have calories...
Also, have you been weighing at the same time every day? Best time is early in the morning, without clothes, after you've *ahem* relieved yourself, and before eating or drinking.
FWIW, My weight "loss" pattern is up and down all over the place, from week to week. Last week I "gained" 6 lbs, this week I "lost" 7, but the general trend is down. Three weeks may be long enough to give a general trend, though...
I have no idea if 8 lbs of muscle is a reasonable gain, but if you'd lost fat, but gained 8 lbs, that would be more than 8 lbs of muscle.
Sweating is pretty much irrelevant except as an indicator of effort--it's just water, and it comes back as soon as you rehydrate. Power Bars and Gatorade are often the culprits in things like this. A friend of mine used to whine about not losing weight, and when he tracked his intake carefully, he was doing almost 4000 calories a week in "sports drinks" and "energy bars" IN ADDITION to regular meals. He'd pound a Power Bar and a bottle of Gatorade for a half-hour ride that probably used 250 calories. Weight's not coming off that way.
Haaha, really never tracked the Gatorade. Amazing! I know thats not the only culprit, I am thinking its also my more than usual beer intake for that last two weeks. Too many people having parties. I guess its my turn to be the designated driver :(

When I started tracking calories, I was amazed at all the calories in liquids. I had my best success when I cut the liquid calories except for energy drinks on multi hour rides. No beer, no juice, no milk, none of it. I stuck to tea, water and diet sodas.
You admit to a "more than usual beer intake," and you're wondering what the culprit might be???
Liquids are the source of a lot of "invisible" calories, because to so many people, beverages aren't food. Take a good hard look at what you drink.
(btw, I'm of the opinion that diet drinks and caffeinated drinks aren't the solution)
Liquid are the quit calories that alway get over looked. And beer, I've had to pretty much cut it out competely in order to keep losing weight. Even light beer has a ton of calories. I drink water 75% of the time. Otherwise it's skim milk, OJ or propel fitness water.
Learn to love water. I drink 'Propel' fitness water if I *really* need a Gatorade style drink. Its ~40 calories for a liter of water. Also those beers are 150 cals/ea. A good night of drinking (8 beers?) is 1200 calories, or half of what you need for the day. Toss in the snacking that comes with drinking and your probably easily at a days worth of calories for a normal person.

There's a pork chop in every can. Your body recognizes a calorie in nearly any form, and latches on to it for later use. Alcohol is a simple sugar and is readily captured. So is a lot of the other good stuff in beer. I like Perrier, nicely fizzy and comes in a green bottle, like good beer!
