I have Rolf Vector Comp wheels on my bike. During my ride today I noticed that I was working really hard to go really slow. After slowing down I noticed that my rear wheels if rubbing against the brake. I take the bike to the LBS to get the wheel trued (easy fix!) only to find out that the hub has split and cannot be fixed. LUCKY ME! So I presume that Rolf won't cover it under warrantly even though they are only two years old and have ONLY 1,500 miles on them. So, what would you do, try to find a replacement wheel for the one or buy a new set of wheels altogether? If you would buy new wheels, could you recommend some that are good and not TOO expensive. Thanks!

If the front wheel is still in good condition, I would replace just the rear with a decent-quality conventional 32-spoke wheel, perhaps a Shimano 105 hub (or Campag. Veloce, if you have Campag. derailleurs) and Mavic rim, with DT spokes. Conventional wheels are stronger, more reliable, and often lighter, than botique reduced-spoke wheels, although you will pay a minuscule penalty in air resistance.

I would contact ROLF directly. They should have a replacement policy.
