Cyclocross - Another sizing question: 6'2", 35-36" inseam --> 58 cm cross?

Hey all, planning to get a Surly Cross Check, sight unseen since no one stocks it this time of the year. The LBS took my measurements and recommended a 58cm. Just wanted to confirm here that this will be a good fit.

I'm exactly the same, 6'2" with 34 - 36" inch leg and I ride a Kona Jake the Snake 58cm.

6'3 and about 1/4...35.5 inseam. Kona JTS 58. Size is about right with seat far back on rails, about 2-3 inches above bar level.

I have a 56cm '05 Cross Check. I'm 5'11" with a 30" inseam. I don't think you necessarily have to have a Surly on site to get sized. I didn't but my LBS was familiar enough with Surly frames to get me the right one.

It's a great bike. You'll love it.

With your size I'd consider sizing up to the 60cm. For another opinion, try Zinn's sizing calculator (which I found jibed pretty closely with the bikefitting.com numbers I got at the bike shop):

I'm just over 6' and my Crosscheck is a 60cm. My inseam is about 35 also. I could probably stand to use a 90mm stem instead of a 100mm.

i'm 6'4" with a 36" inseam on a 59 c-c douglas. i feel like it's a little too small in that i can't get the bars high enough. i find myself straight arming it too much. i now have close to two inches of spacers above my cable hanger, and my stem pointing upward. this has made a huge difference, but i still feel like my arms are too straight. i'm going to swap my 6 degree stem with a 15 degree, which hopefully will do the trick. honestly, i've never felt comfortable on this bike, despite the MANY, MANY adjustments i make to it. i really think it's just too damn small.

my road and track bikes are 61's and i have a peugeot fixed gear conversion that's a 63.

i'm 6'2 1/2 with a 31 inseam and ride a 58 cm cross check,
have albatross bars. did swap out the stem for a slightly shorter
steeper angle to shorten the reach and raise the bar slightly for
my riding style. the bar/stem is just level with my seat.

6' 2", approx. 34 inseam, and I ride a TST ti 57.5 top tube frame.

Dunno where you are - but Century Cycles in Peninsula, Ohio has a 56cm built-up Cross Check in stock, and some of the employees ride them. I stood over an employee's 58cm CrossCheck to figure out that they needed to order me a 60.

I'm 6'2", 33.5" inseam, riding a 60cm Cross-Check. Fits me great, but I do have a longish torso. Less seat-post showing than most people seem to have.
