My LBS fiddled with my brakes while putting my new wheels on. Bike felt a little wierd while breaking and after the ride I noticed some of the Decals were scraped on my Easton Circuits. This was due to the break pads being below the stopping metal surface of the wheel.

Questions are: Should I take it to the LBS and show them that the fiddling of the brake pads scraped the decals of brand new wheels? And can you buy new wheel decals from the manufacturer?

Wheel is still intact and good condtion but I purchased them mainly for functionality and quality and also the look of the wheels and the decals which look great with my bike.

Chill out. Take all the decals off your wheels. They are soooooo goshe. What function do they serve other than vanity?

Like saying breaks when you really mean brakes? :p

To the OP, I wouldn't worry about it. Just adjust the pads and keep riding them.

If you are concerned about your decals, you can either:

a) Buy some off of Ebay. They're everywhere.

b) Write to Easton and mention to them that, all this time, you've been providing FREE advertising for their company, without compensation and now that their rolling billboard is fraying, it's time they send in some fresh labels so you can continue to advertise for them without being paid for it. Otherwise, they're losing valuable advertising space.

c) Discover the amazing use of Acetone on decals. See what happens! Freedom, that's what.

Do you think I should have my LBS try to throw in some new decals or should I even let them know about whats been going on?

Get rid of those decals and re-adjust pads. Your rims will spin faster without them silly graphics...:D

I would rather read the words on my wheels than the words I need to in any text book. Plus aren't words funner to read when they are Red?
