hello. this is my first post ever on bikeforums, but i guess everyone has to start somewhere. i live in brooklyn, ny but plan to be in london from july 31 - august 3.

i am trying to figure out whether to bring my own bike or to rent one while there. i also work with the nyc bike co-op (www.times-up.org) and the nyc ghost bike project (www.streetmemorials.org; http://visualresistance.org/wordpress/ghostbikes) and am hoping to hook up with some bike folks and bike projects, especially the london ghost bike project, while in london.

if anyone has suggestions for where to rent a bike or knows of a london bike co-op, i'd love to hear about it. also, if you have contact information or ideas of where i can find people who work with any uk-based bike projects, i'd be very interested in learning about them.

thanks so much!
