Do you know how you can tell if a Dane is an extrovert? He looks at your shoes instead of his.

The thing that gets me is that chicken's weight is listed on the TdF website at 69kg (152 lbs) while Kloden (who looks waaaay meatier) is listed at 63kg (138). On top of that, Kloden is way taller than chicken, so HE should look like the emaciated one, not chicken. Even Cadel Evans (141 lbs & almost the same height) is listed lighter than chicken, and doesn't look nearly as skinny.
Why the heck does Rasmussen look so skinny?!

Not everyone is naturally disposed to wearing his emotions on his sleeve, especially when put on the spot by media. As Mr. Odense above pointed out, Denmark has more of an introverted society compared to US. Introverts might come off aloof or reserved, but they are usually completely different once you get to know them.

69kg? Are you nuts? Honest reports have him at 60.

I thought I read he is 5'9" and 130lbs.
(Almost exactly the same as me)

Same here. And I'm half Danish to boot
then you missed the interview, just after he won in Tignes, where he walked away from the interviewer to kiss his wife and hold his kid.
And in the interviews he is open and articulate.
Chicken is a worthy winner.

Ok, that makes more sense. But the TdF website does have him at 69kg.

Yep... you're less prone to smile a lot when the questions are "how can you prove you didn't dope" instead of "how does it feel to have done so well"
for the good of the sport...stop these guys from wearing the 400g of 8K gold religious paraphernalia.
It must suck to be a directeur after spending months and thousands in the windtunnel, and using titanium valve caps, only to have this big piece of bling flopping about in the wind with St. Auguste-sur-Yvette, patron saint of pharmacology.

Is he hiding from Doping Control or the Calorie Police in that photo?

the doping control is behind him actually
Michael Rasmussen (Rabobank) bites into a sandwich before the doping control. The dude in the background is hopefully making sure Rasmussen doesn't trick anybody.
