Road Cycling - Can you recommend a good ride in Durango?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. There must be a lot of great routes in and around Durango.

I'm going up there this week for my wedding and will have a day or two of free time while the women are busy setting up wedding stuff (apparently there is some type of advanced planning required for these things).

Anyway, I'd like to rent a road bike a find a 40-60 mile route with some good challenging climbs and lots of scenery. Any recommendations?

Can you ride all the way to Ouray? There are a lot of mountains, but the scenery is spectacular!

How far is that? Is it a loop or out and back? Got any road numbers for me?

Thanks
