Hi all,
Just got myself a new hybird with SORA rare derailure. While I am tunning the brakes (it is too soft!!) I noticed the rare derailure makes clicks periodically. Had a harder look, it seems that the cassett doesn't mesh properly with the chain after certain number of links had passed through it.
Any idea on how to fix it?
Sora derailures aren't really rare. ;)
You have a stiff link in your chain. Do you have a chain tool?

Thank you.
That NEEDED to be said.

If it's happening on the same link every time, that link is stiff. Grab both sides of it and bend it back and fourth until it moves freely. If it's happening at seemingly random places, the rear derailleur is slightly out of adjustment. In that case, if it does it in every cog, the cable needs to be tightened or loosened. If in only a few cogs, it might be the tension screw.

Usually by the time you think about them they're toast :p

Eh. Pretty obvious that nobody meant any harm. You KNOW when people are really trying to get to you ... but this wasn't it. It was kind of a cute "typo," though--you must admit.
