The Tour, which has survived world wars, is not dead. This year's tour, while a bit of a kerfuffle (and wildly entertaining for the f'ed-uppedness of it all) is not dead. It says so in the bible: "One generation of cyclists passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the Tour abideth for ever." Or something like that.

While a few days ago I would have agreed that this is the end, you would THINK that the more marquee riders that get popped, the less likely they are to f**k around in the future and the sport will be more credible. You would THINK!!

Why would cycling be dead for kicking dopers out? One would think that would bring MORE life to the sport. Really, cycling and the olympic games are the only sporting events that do any REAL drug testing and I applaud them both!

Long live Rock ..... er, I mean cycling! :D

How do you figure? The stars are doping. They get kicked out, suddenly the domestiques are battling it out. Will that sell Nike shoes? No. You start losing corporate sponsors, you lose coverage and suddenly no one remembers that cycling is something you can do professionally. Okay a bit of a dramitization but still.

I've always been a big fan of domestiques. This isn't the end.
