Levi's evil plan of just wheelsucking and letting everyone ahead of him destroy themselves has finally come together.

Normally, the first three guys in the GC stand on the podium together in Paris at the end of the Tour. This year, there may only be two guys on the podium.
The announcer will say "The winner of all of the jerseys are these two guys...they were the only two guys to not flunk a drug test, "miss" a drug test, or have their team withdraw because a member of the team got caught cheating.

Who the hell wants to watch this anymore? This sucks. You get excited by a victory and the next day that guy's kicked out. You get excited by someone else and -- same thing. I'm done with the tour.

Normally, I never watch any sports, just never got into it. Now, when I'm finally getting into the TdF all this doping crap happens.
This is a lot different from a doping positive. He got fired from his team for breaching the part of his contract that requires him to be available for unannounced doping tests throughout the year. He missed two in June. You're allowed to miss three. The team (somehow) found out that he lied about his location during the two times he missed the test and fired him. The reason this distinction is important is because he can be hired by any other team. He didn't test positive.

This is crazy. The riding and attacks have been great but everytime thay win they are thrown out. I wasted my money getting cable for the TOur this year!!!

The sad truth is that you're not alone in this. But be careful with that thought process Many individuals in the Pro Tour are drug tested more in a year than the entire NBA. In the NHL tests are rediculously infrequent and can only be triggered regularly if a player is convicted of felony drug charges (that's dealing in most states). No one knows how clean local races are.
You may have a hard time finding any sport to watch. Little league baseball's pretty clean. Desperate divorcees to boot!

Unfortunately, got news for you bud...it's been an issue for quite a few years now in our sport ;)

At this point...this isn't a doping issue.
It's a rules issue.
He lied.
He thumbed his nose at the reporting rules and got what he deserved.

Are you kidding me? Have you seen the 400 pound lineman? Cycling IS clean compared to EVERY other pro sport I can think of. They are actually TRYING to get the dopers, unlike most every other pro sport in the world. Just think about it for a minute.

Lame. They should have never let him start the tour. After they let him start that's it, they should have let him finish. What's the point of pulling him now? They have the same information now that they had at the beginning of the tour! I think this is worst for Rabobank than a positive test.
As far as the "chicken" is concerned I do think he's the man, unless in the future he actually does test positive.

He thumbed his nose at the rules for only one reason. He doped and didn't want to be caught.
He knew he wouldn't win without doping and on the chance he could skirt the system, he took it.
I watched the stage today. I just can't believe this. What is going on with the tour this year is beyond words....including still an unnamed champion for last year.
So who hires him because I want to see a freaking climbing specialist win the danged tour.

Honestly, the other thread with six pages started an hour before this was not good enough?? Please check the forum before starting a thread like this. Thanks.

He thumbed his nose back in June, and has been competing (and testing) since JUNE. This has nothing to do with doping. It's about the morality of lying.
If I was CSC. I'd hire him before tomorrow morning's pee...

Wrong. His team has too much to lose. No champion about to win a coveted title ever got kicked off a team for lying...lol. They have known about his lies for a long time.

You should see the 15 year old "boys" this summer at the local high school's summer practices. Monsters, chiseled, cut, bulk, any of the other words you can come up with. I lifted alot in H.S. and I didn't look like them

Remember the year the phillipines LL team won the Worlds then was DQed because one of the players was an adult, small enough to pass as a kid.
I will keep watching racing, it is just going through a serious shake-out. A new generation of riders will be coming in knowing that if you cheat you will most likely get caught, your career will be finished and all your buddies on your team will be out of jobs too. None of them will want you on any team they manage to get back on with.

Can't say I'm surprised. Just watching the ease with which Rasmussen kept up with Contador's vicious attacks two days ago, and then the ease with which he pulled away from Levi and Contador today, I must say I was highly suspicious of Rasmussen.
I used to think Floyd was clean, too, and that the lab had screwed up. Well, the lab did screw up, but I am now starting to have my doubts about Floyd. These superhuman performances, like Rasmussen in the Pyrenees and in the time trial, or Vinokourov, or Floyd last year, seem to fit a performance profile for use of questionable products.

I think Le Chicken is clean right now . Vino is a freakin jerk for doing the transfusion as if they would not find that. I just hope he did not piss off too many investers in the " sponsers" from Kasakstan ,may not be a healthy decision for him .Rabobank wins.

Exactly I totally agree. Its sad when you can ride on rear wheels the whole tour and get beat in the time trial by a guy who fell down and still get on the podium. I know they are trying to do the right thing but they should wise up and realize that all the clean riders were already dropped due to time limits. lol.

What a pathetic loser. I used to really like the guy. Now I hope he is never permitted to race again. It stinks to invest so much time watching and following the tour only to see favorited go down every day. The chicken is cooked. Well done.

Lifetime bans sound good to me. It is way past time to clean up the sport.

that's a good idea, but if that takes place there won't be a TdF next year, because there won't be any riders left...
