Professional Cycling - What's the point?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Dear UCI
For heaven's sake, I invest hours trying to stay awake throught the TourDayFrance stage coverage, and each time my enthusiasm is drummed up for new front men one of them is disqualified.
At least wait until the end like last time.
love,
Ed

At least all of this has many more now publicly railing against the Pro Tour. For many reasons (see Cyclingnews). That can only be a good thing.
This is my first year following the tour, and I can sum it up into one word...........Huh?

I suppose that is true. However, picking on individual riders is only half the battle. The pressures and rewards are so great, and I'm convinced that these issues are team management based as a result.
