Professional Cycling - Mods please edit the TDF Forum

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

With all the withdrawls and disqualifications, I think about 98% of the posts in the forum are now inaccurate. For the purpose of the historical record, I think the mods need to go back and footnote, edit , or delete, the comments that no longer make sense in light of events.
I think this has to be done if BF is going to continue to fufill its role as a valuable historical archive.:)

On the contrary, the errors and mistakes are part of history. Lets not redact or alter conversations which highlits the crazy nature of this Tour. That would be falsification under the guise of simplification....

I'm glad there is a wide range of emotions. It means that **WE** care about the sport. And you can't blame a single person for not trusting **ANYONE** in the Tour De France right now. This tour started off with such high expectations and has totally blown up.
I don't what more they can do except to have lifetime bans for this stuff. The Tour and the teams under sponsor pressure are doing what they can to stop this.
I am contacting Brian right now about having the OP made a mod and put in charge of this request.:D

I would second this motion. I've attempted to edit my posts. However, to go back and do them all is to daunting. I would suggest that we just scrap this whole board and start over. Just start with stage 17 like its the first one.:p

Might as well turn back the clock and only have 6 stages with no breaks for sleep. Competitors were expected to ride through the night and use a basic bicycle.
