Ouch that pinch point would hurt if your finger was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I own an expressway and it is one of the ones that is being recalled. Thanks JTGraphics.

I've got a Thule hitch rack but the rack doesn't seem to have any ID info either stamped into the metal or on stickers. Hmmm, guess I'll need to try and hunt down the sales slip. The Thule website doesn't seem to contain any "how to identify your hitch" info either, unless I'm overlooking it.

I had noticed its wicked pinch potential, but fortunately not by getting pinched. Yet.

I had noticed the potential for being pinched right away, but lived with it. The recall letter just came in the mail this week. I am still deciding whether to exercise the option to return the whole thing to REI, as my Thule rack is rusting badly on the inside from retained water that gets into it when it rains. The only way to get the water out is to remove the rack and set it upside down, which is a major inconvenience in my climate, where it can rain almost daily for months at a time.
