I've always been the one to follow up on others "I believe in so and so" comments with comments about how I think they all dope.
A few months ago I wrote a blurb where I said that I think almost all professional atheletes dope because of the "if the next guy is doing it, I have to in order to compete" factor.
I've always felt that way, but I've also always loved the pro's in the peleton. I love to watch them climb and think about how they are 10x as good as me. I love that even if they didn't take drugs they would drop me in a heartbeat. I love that they suffer for the sport and that they put up with so many hardships. I love watching Paris-Roubaix and seeing guys covered in mud and dust. I love that I look at the build of Schleck or Rasmussen and go, "oh my gosh, that's gross".
I've spent this whole tour looking at the TV and thinking, "There is no way that young guy could keep up", and "Astana is where all the guys who wouldn't sign the doping clauses went", and "Rasmussen just never would be able to ride that TT", and "Vino just pulled a FLandis by cracking and then winning the next day", etc, etc.
I just think it's sad.
