Maybe cause he will now be tested every stage as the GC leader? hahahahahahh i don't know... but he didnt look happy at all.
I thought all riders in the tour jerseys were tested...not to mention he's already had a stage win and been tested.
I can't imagine that's the way he wanted to get in yellow, I wouldn't be too stoked about it either especially when you consider the mood of the peloton.

Actually he never looks happy. Watching his onterviews on earlier stages he always looked angry.

You know, I'm no raving Disco fan. I do like Contador's style on the bike. That said, I believe Disco doesn't have to hold their head in shame or feel like they are backing into yellow. They have raced a great, highly competitive tour, and deserve what is coming their way. They were in battle with a cheat all along. (I assume for now there are no more shoes to drop). They have every right to the the jersey. If Ras had not been allowed in the Tour in the first place, we might assume the outcome of the rest would have been largely the same.
There will be smiles on the podium in Paris if all ends this way, mark my words.

Hmmmm...would I be grumpy that I was losing to a cheater, then all of a sudden the cheater gets pulled and I now know I am the man? That I really am #1? This would upset me? I could be the first clean winner since 98?
Me thinks not. Ras did not fall and break a leg--that would be a sucky way to get the yellow. He got pulled for cheating, and there is no shame in #2 stepping up.
The real issue is that friggin unibrow. Looks like someone took a sharpie marker to the guys head. Dude shaves his legs, needs to drop his drag coefficient a few points by plucking them caterpillars.

I defense of all caterpillars, I resemble that statement

huh?....Contador the first clean winner...probably not. I think Disco got him juiced. I might believe Cadel Evans is clean, but I wouldn't put a lot of money on the line to back it up.

I have a hard time believing anyone is clean anymore. This kind of crap jades me pretty quickly.

Who cares. The sooner we all admit that we are to Professional Cycling what the Professional Wrestling fan is to that sport, the quicker we stop taking this all so personal ..
.. ride your friggin' bikes instead!!!
You'd cheat too if it was your job and others were cheating to kick your ass.

Tell me you're not gullible enough to think that Pantani was clean or Ullrich the year before or Riis before that. Indurain - no way! Come on, are you really that easily fooled? If you're willing to believe one rumor, then you should believe them all.
The lanterne rouge is clean

Let me articulate what I meant a bit better...I totally understand what you're saying. However, I can imagine it'd be immensely more satisfying to have torn that jersey off Rasmussen's back after destroying him in the mountains or in the TT, rather than getting the jersey under the cloud of suspicion and shady goings-on.
Again, Rasmussen hasn't been formally charged with any doping allegations, and he got kicked out because he was stupid in how he handled himself. It wasn't because he had a positive doping test (...yet).
and +1 on the unibrow. That thing is intense.

Actually the "positive test" thing is a bit of grey area. There is a rule that if you miss 3 tests within 18 months, it is equivalent to a "non-negative result", i.e. positive. He missed 4 in the past 2 years, but there is apparently a loophole regarding the governing body at the time the tests were supposed to be given.
But, to be sure, "he never tested positive". You can trust him.

The loophole has to do with the organizations that were giving the tests. He was tested by two separate organizations, and he missed two tests from each. It's a loophole that they're fixing for next year.
No doubt the guy is shady as hell, I don't trust him any further than I can throw him (which is actually pretty far because he's like 9 pounds...). I'm not defending his actions by any means, don't get me wrong. I have no problem with him getting kicked out and fired. Unfortunately, this matter should've been dealt with 3 weeks ago and not yesterday.
