I'm looking to buy a vintage Bianchi road bike, the problem is is that the bike is from a bike co-op in my city and they don't know how much its worth. They want who ever is interested in the bike to find out what year it is and how much it may be worth. Since this bike is worth it (to me) I am trying to find out if there are any web sites that can tell me what year it is by the vin number (which i found on the bottom side of the bike, 7754) the bike is a size 50'. Can anyone help me out with web sites or any sort of direction. also the front sticker on the bike said " Elderado Bianchi "
Thank you, Kelli
Most of the front stickers say, "Edoardo Bianchi," ["Ed White" in English], the guy who founded the company circa 1890. If you list components and/or post pictures, some of us may be able to identify the model and approximate vintage.
Really? Bianchi is "White" in Italian? hmmm...maybe I'm a long lost relative, and they have a superleggera just for me!
btw, it sounds much cooler as Elderado.
Check the other side of the bottom bracket. There should be a two more characters, one letter and one number. Sounds like 1984 or later. As John states, we'll need a componet list or pics to estimate value.
