Yowzah!
I LIKE the glow in the dark :) .
But the bags look too nice to be covered. Ummm, but, ummm, maybe?
Could you let us take a look at covered as well?
Oh yeah, some flourescent green paint on the spokes would be awesome.

Nope. Keep the variety. It provides a contrast.
THE RIMS!!!!
Ya GOTTA do the RIMS! :D
Greenblazer, I just read the Kenny Prather interview in your link. Thanks for providing the link, what a great interview :D . The John Deere bike is just so cool.
East Hill
Thanks! I think I've decided to continue covering it, and I was thinking about wheel discs that cover the spokes and covering those with green fur too. Anyone know where to find those discs for covering spokes?
Freak Bike is way cool, I'm glad you enjoyed the link.

Make them yourself...
Make them yourself...
I would like information on how to "Make them yourself...".

The green fuzzy chopp bike flat-out-kicks @$$ !!!
Soooo cool !! It reminds me of H.R Puff'nStuff for some reason :roflmao: :roflmao:
I have had the supreme honor of witnessing a West Palm Freak Bike nite
and Kenny P's creations. There are no words to describe what I saw
Pics DO NOT do the Freak Bikes or their rides and riders justice.
Keep up the great work !! :D
If A&E ever gets wind of these events there WILL be a FreakBike build-off show..
you heard it here first !!!!! :roflmao:
Actually, if the television producers can devote so many hours of programming to motorcycles, why not have a FreakBike show? That would be great stuff!
And probably much safer for aging baby boomers :) .
East Hill
TV is controlled by money, and the government. Bicycles do not help Oil Companies make money. Motorsports help Oil Companies make money. I'd watch Freak Bikes on TV, but I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Considering that I can't remember when I last watched television, I would agree. If I'm not at work, or busy on the computer (sometimes the work/fun bit gets combined :) ), I'm probably out on one of the bikes.
East Hill
Hey, those Prather bros were up here in Canada for our Freak bike cruise. I didn't make the connection. In fact, I think the pixie bike I was racing I borrowed from Kenny.
Now with fuzzy headlight and bags.

It's starting to look like a big green racing rabbit (visualise the riser bars as ears, headlamp as rabbit head, forks at rabbit front legs).
I like the covered bags, they actually look pretty good that way :) .

Unfortunately some of the links on that page are broken, but you'll get the idea.
Got more pics! More complete.

It's mostly done for now. I have a Jockey shift style brake actuator that is under construction. I am also having a problem with the electric drive that I'm looking for help with(see thread in the Electric Bike Forum: http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=326970 )
no offense but are u serious. that is overdone, i mean itd be cool if it was the seat and and grips but otherwise thats ugly and if u ride it, its gonna get mega dirty ad gross
ummmmm, I think overdoing it is basically the point of altbikes, am I right?!

"If you have to ask, you wouldnt understand........."
You need to find a way to put some fur on that chain! So, I went to a Scooter rally in Vegas and there was a guy there with a Lambretta covered in pink fur like that. I have no idea how he kept it clean, but it was rad.

Isn't that the whole and entire point?

No, sometimes it's about underdoing it to.

*From the book Zany Afternoons by Bruce McCall. A jewel, if you can find the book. Referencing the Moto-Ritz Towers.
East Hill
A garden hose to wash and an air compressor to dry. Also this is the third time it's been covered in fur in the last three years.
If you think my bike is over kill you should see my hair...

If it's worth doing it's worth overdoing.
I don't think that pictures are doing it justice, in person the effect is quite different.
Fuzzbox, None taken. I do not expect everyone to like it, but the response from people who see me out riding it is very positive.
My intended look was a monochromatic scheme.

Is this to be a BM bike?
Greenblazer, you would find Zany Afternoons to be a hoot. Unfortunately, it is long out of print and VERY expensive to purchase...
Are your eyes naturally green, or are those contact lenses?
The photos of the bike in natural light do make it look quite different! I think it looks even better in the sun :) .
East Hill
If you think my bike is over kill you should see my hair...
Until I see a picture, I'll have to say I have you beat there!
How many times have I heard "Nice Fro, dude!" lately? :p
(and I'm a WHITE guy) :D
As for Green Fuzzy Wheels, I'd just do the rims and forget the wheel covers!
But if you must, the cool old skool covers were UNI discs. A nylon cover that had an aluminum hoop at the outside edge of the cover. That clipped into plastic clips that attached to the spoke nipples.
Took awhile to set-up, but once done, the covers popped off easily for airing tires and wheel trueing.
Dr. Deltron,
There is a picture of my hair posted above. I don't know why you can't see it.
East Hill,
That is my natural eye color... They are actually green with a blue ring around the outside, and the color varies with mood... or so I've been told.
Later,
Allan Greenblazer
Congratulations!
That is something I was'nt expecting to see when I opened the page...
It is really cool.

We're just waiting for Greenblazer to get back from Burning Man. I know he will have some good stories and some even better photos :) .

Maybe you can get some Ronco spray on Hair-in-a-Can for the chain. It might not last long...but it'd be hilarious.
Perhaps some flower in the bags would be a nice touch for a little more over the topness.
That pic of you makes this thread win. Nice clippy gauges.
