Hi,

If you know of anyone that is selling a 66 cm Rivendell Atlantis or Rambouillet, please let me know.

Thanks.

I think the available "tall" sizes have always been 64cm and 67cm, but I could be wrong. These are tough to find. Do you have your heart set on the Riv? Or are you open to other options?

Check with www.yellowjersey.org

The Atlantis is made by Waterford, I believe....

Nope. It's generally made by Toyo in Japan, although Waterford may have made some of the early ones. They are/were making the early Homer A. Hilsens (spelling??), but Riv plans to take production of those to Japan soon, if they have not done so already.

It's easy enough to check.

No, but I'm interested in that geometry, specifically a slack seat tube between 71 and 72 degrees and a sloping top tube to get the bars up, and something sturdy enough that I can put a rear rack on with a basket on it. Unfortunately, I don't think that leaves me too many options.

The Rivendell Atlantis and Rambouillet have sloping top tubes? I thought Grant didn't approve of those. According to the Rivendell site you can get a 66 in both. According to the Harris Cyclery site you can't. Maybe the Harris site needs updating.

How about a Kogswell? http://kogswell.com/

No, the Rivs have just a skootch of upward slope on the top tube, 2.5 degrees for the Atlantis and 2 degrees for the Rambouillet. The Cycles Valhalla 2XLT has 5cm of slope, but it is a 68cm frame, so it is probably too big for the OP.

And, I am sooo embarassed... my befuddled brain combined the 66 and 68cm frame sizes into one 67cm. Must be getting old.

Matthew keeps promising to get a 64cm P/R, but I have not seen one yet. Maybe he'll get one in with his next order.

Thanks for that, but the top tube is way too long for me.

Anything that gets the bars higher is de rigueur.

I decided I need a 68 cm frame, although I imagine if someone was hot to sell a 68 cm Rivendell, they might have responded to this thread anyway despite the title.
