As a fan of Barloworld, and a fan of Soler, if this is true, and Soler was found with a positive urine sample as well as the Barloworld bus being raided, what will this mean?
I guess it Corti is known for having managed some fairly dubious teams in the past Seaco being one. But I let hope get the best of me.

^^^Does this say that Soler failed a pee test and that the police raided the Barloworld hotel? Or does it say that someone failed a pee test, Soler was one of those tested, and that police raided a Barloworld bus? Can anyone translate?

Well,
I am even though I was rooting for Soler, I am not going to defend him in any way, unlike many Vina / Rassy fans. He and Corti should be punished if this is true.
Lets face it - the guy is 24, but did not start riding until 17, in Columbia, which while known for producing great climbers, is not known for providing a great development program to the point where someone who is 17 should be competing at the top levels of cycling as Soler is.
Again - I hope this is a rumor, but if not, the blood letting needs to continue.

Folks! Listen up!
Tyler doped. Floyd doped. Basso doped. Ullrich doped. Yes, Lance doped.
Vino dopes. Ras dopes. They all dope. You can't be playing at that level without doping.
Soler dopes. Levi dopes. Cadel dopes.
The only issue is whether they can catch them or not.
If they managed to do he doping correctly they can continue to test "negative" and keep their stuff hidden. Or, they might make a mistake.
But, it's true.

a different moon-man translation
There seems a new doping matter in gestation in the tour the France. After the fourteenth stage with arrival on plateau the Beille were decreased according to several sources a positive urine test. That then after Vinokourov and Moreni the third positive case in the tour would be.
It would concern Mauricio Soler, the drager of the bolletjestrui. At this moment there is an irruption of the French police force in the hotel of Barloworld to pace communicates our Danish colleagues of BT. But we could not get that confirmed. Tomorrow at 11 o'clock there is anyway a press conference.
The rumour which Soler positively would be has already looked after that bookmakers in United Kingdom and Italy have crossed out him.

Is that saying that bookies in London have taken him off the board for betting on the doper, or betting on him for GC since he is 9th.
I would bet, that is the Bookies do something, it is because they know it. And if he was taken off the board in London and Italy, my guess is they have inside information.

"The net is beginning to tighten around the Columbian climber Mauricio Soler Hernandez of Team Barloworld.
Early Friday, Radio France reported that one of the riders wearing a Tour's leader jersey at the completion of the fourteenth stage had tested positive for doping. Further, according to information received by TV2 Sports, Team Barloworld received an unannounced visit from the French police Friday evening.
"In any case there are persistent rumors that Soler is under strong suspicion as the latest doping sinner," reported TV2 Sport's reporter Jasper Stadum from France on Friday evening.
The positive urine sample was taken at Plateau de Beille, after Alberto Contador had beaten Michael Rasmussen in the their one-on-one duel with each other.
Late Friday afternoon, suspicion had intensified about Soler, when bookmakers in England and Italy suspended betting on whether Soler would win the polka-dot jersey when the Tour reached Paris. "

Seriously though. Do they really expect everyone to believe that Rasmussen, Vinokourov, Soler were doping and yet Contador beat them all (and nearly cracked Rasmussen on one stage) while being 100% clean?!
They are making the announcement at 11m local time tomorrow. Right now, all they are saying is that it was a jersey holder after stage 14 that tested positive. But the rumour is that its Soler, but it could be Boonen, Ras, or Contador as well.

I think what most people fail to get is with or without doping someone is the best. I don't know who it is, because I can't say with 100% accuracy who is doping and who is not. The best will always be suspected of doping, and with good reason. With that being said there is a rider out there that can drop the other riders. He is the best.

With all the risks these guys take to do it, I'm curious myself. I don't know that I'd want to sacrifice my body, but a scientific study that tracks the improvements of a rider on a tour-style doping program would be fascinating to read.

A Danish newspaper is reporting that a jersey holder tested positive after Stage 14, when Contador edged Rasmussen, and that Christian Prudhomme will announce the result in a press conference at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Your jerseys at that point were Rasmussen, Contador (white), Soler (polka-dot), and Boonen (green).
If it turns out to be Rasmussen, we may have more information on why he was withdrawn. If it's one of the others, they should just give it up.
Update: HLN.be reports that Barloworld's Mauricio Soler is the likely rider to be named, and that the team hotel has already been raided by police.
Wouldn't you think these guys would be smart enough to say to themselves "you know, there's a whole bunch of heat on cycling this year. I'm just gonna lay off the dope for this one race. After everything cools off I'll pick up again." Instead it appears other guys just took all the favs getting busted as their chance to be the next big thing.
