it has frames, so you have to click on "Arctic Bike" under the main photo.

Holy crap!

That thing must weigh a ton or two... I wonder how it rides.

I know! :p

It's just amazing. Got me thinking about setting up a winter bike, though. I'm thinking something more batmobile-like, though, with something like contracting ice blades on the sides that you can put snow runners on.

Kind of like if a norwegian kicksled and a bicycle mated....

The link works for me. Anyways, this frame. It's hand-built for just this purpose.

--J Yikes! It reminds me of those gross mutant-like bodybuilders (http://jessmo.files.wordpress.com/2007/03/body-builder.jpg). (Don't click if you have a fragile nervous system).

You can design anything. Putting it in motion is a different story. That thing might be fun for a half-block, but I wouldn't even want to ride on a clean, dry street with those tires unless I was hooked up to an oxygen tank.

+1 to mike

is that beast for commuting on snowy city streets or for staking out across the tundra/frozen lakes?

My nimble little beastie (MTB beater) handles sheer ice and snow to 3in deep with little trouble (okay some, but it works well enough) - but I never used it to go across the frozen prairie (perhaps a dogsled is in order)

I have a dogsled! My current dogs aren't trained for it yet. But I'm thinking I should rethink that! I could hook them up to a trike.

Hopefully, I'm going to get my winter bike tonight... It's a little too cheap, though, and I'm waiting to talk to the guy. But, all except for the fact that I think it's white*, it looks like a good choice.
