To pull a quote from the movie Gladiator.

Doping aside, this has been a fun tour to watch, including this most recent TT.

The battles between Contador and Rasmussen were fun to watch, especially that thrid day where it was Rasmussen vs. 3 Disco guys at one point.

This TT where the 'other' guy Levi, who was not getting much coverage the entire tour, dominated the TV and the course.

The top 3 are separated by a total of 31 seconds. And 3rd place was someone who was relegated to super domestique by the kid in first.

Purely for entertainment this has been a fun tour to watch when the riders were on the road.

The best tour since 2003 for sure! Great cycling action with a side of drama. Now that's good food!

this is the first TdF I have watched and I have loved it. The drug stuff has not made me even think of turning it off, but it has made it both better and worse to watch.
Better in that this thing was not over with a week to go, which is great especially if you are like me and have no one to root for.
Worse in that it is hard to follow someone, as some of the great performances have been from guys who have been removed . . . so I know less about those that jump up into the top 10.

Its been a great tour to watch.. then waiting in between stage hoping there arent any more doping scandels has been exciting too!

Great tour! Best in years. Don't care about the dopers as I always figured they were doping.
Anquetil said, only a fool would imagine it was possible to ride Bordeaux-Paris on just water.

Don't think most pros can be a dope free rider in the tour. Maybe they should stop picking such crazy mountain stages. Some of those grades are crazy for miles. Sure it could be done but on day 17 after 6 mountain stages? I figure the guy that comes over the top looking fresh after a 5 mile climb of 10% grade is doping.

Maybe at the Vuelta they can add riding with the bulls. ;)

I'vfe onlybeen following the race for the last 5 years. I really enjoyed keeping tabs on Lance. But this year's race is full of the unexpected. I've really enjoyed it.

Somehow, some way, De Klerk is the source of this. :D It's a conspiracy to keep the 'mericans off the podium!

Tour de Suisse, he got them across the line and took the green jersey that day. Later tested positive. Now rides for fun. http://youtube.com/watch?v=jxPyfk8oahE

Saw a horse knock off a cyclist in a race on the Cycle Sport crash DVD.

I swore I wasn't going to watch the TDF this year after last year's mess. I'm glad I went back on that and watched. It was well worth it.

Some folks lose sight of the fact that sporting events are primarily for the entertainment of the fans. We are entertained not only by the racing, but also the doping scandals.

I thought it was a great tour and will defiantly continue to enjoy it for years to come regardless of the drama and scandal.
