Does he use an umbrella? Or at least a poncho?

Generally, he uses a raincoat and a really grumpy attitude about having to stand in the rain and mess around with you.

If he pulls you over in the rain, you have done something bad enough to warrant him getting wet to talk to you about it. Usually not a pleasant outcome...

(especially since in the rain they are usually busy responding to traffic accidents)

Yup, beware of the large brim, that drips water. He wants you to see that angst!

Glad you escaped with a "waning" and not a "warshing". :D

In the rain is also one of the few times you'll be ordered to get out of the car so he can question you. Just to make you get wet too.

And you will be getting a ticket.

A Drew Carrey joke:

I like to run red lights on rainy days when cops see just to make them get wet. They pull me over, come up to my window and ask, "Mr Carrey, do you know why I pulled you over?"

And I ask, "do you know why I ran the red light?"

Really though, around here at least, the state police have a reputation for often pulling up next to you, and politely saying you should be more careful, then driving off when the weather is such that they will feel the wrath of the elements if they get out of their cruisers.

No real man uses an umbrella. The only exception is those rare occasions when you absolutely can not get out of wearing a suit and expect to be exposed for more than a dash from the car/bus stop to the nearest cover.

My dad used to have a state-issued protective "showercap"-type cover for his campaign hat, and wore a raincoat. And, yes, he did pull folks in the rain, as unpleasant as it was. That was his job.

iamlucky13, a really smart man might use an umbrella as an opportunity to cuddle up a bit with a female when out on a rainy day. ;) Jes' sayin'.... :p

I've done that before, and I'm not even all that smart about romancing females.

Heh, jschen, you're a natural. You're just way too shy. :)

Why do you think I forget my umbrella every time I get out of my car..

I am fairly close to a working cop, he had me over for a party at his house and we all got saucy. He and his cop friends assured me that if you get pulled over when its raining then you are doing something very bad

Dude, you're supposed to offer space under your umbrella to the girl.

Skinnyone, you're too funny! :D

Note: Forgetting them is why they're sometimes referred to as "dumbrellas." :p

If a StATE TROOPER PULLS YOU OVER IN THE RAIN YOU ARE COMPLETELY SCREWED, YOU HAVE REALLY SCREWED UP.

No umbrellas. Why: 1 hand is the gun hand and the other is the flashlight/self defense hand.

Now, if you get puttled over by Trooper Shiva (http://www.iloveulove.com/images/Shiva_dance5.jpg), he can get a way with holding an umbrella, a gun, flashlight, and crackberry. But he only works the outskirts of Kolkatta and chances are you'll never get caught speeding there. ;)

Oh I disagree, If you drop in you can clearly go for the snuggle while the otherway around there is a little wiggle room.. ;)

In snuggling, a willing participant is the only way to go. A merely tolerant participant is no fun. So it doesn't really matter whether there's wiggle room. So better to be chivalrous. My opinion, anyway, but as I said, I don't know much about romancing girls.

The only time I have been given a field sobriety test was in the rain. And I know the ******* had a breathalizer in the car.
