Foo - Dare I walk down the city street in my jammies?

I bought the coolest summer jammie set (have forumites visiting me soon) and I'm currently lounging in my nice jammies at the moment. But to my despair, alas, I need to visit the store down the street to purchase some more liquid refreshments.

So I'm currently sitting here in my mint green baggy t-shirt (oh my there's even stitched flowers on the neckline :rolleyes:) - and matching baggy printed mint green boxer shorts (is that? YES - there are flower watering cans on my boxers!!!) - wearing my new silver and gray and ORANGE sneaks - with my new purple YANKZ on them. I am truly a sight to behold. :D

Do I dare to walk down to the store or should I throw on the bike clothing and ride down?

Oh, did I mention the fact that I have my rainbow striped socks on (I luv socks). I'm not sure what I would term myself at the moment - but I would say COLORFUL. :D

Hmmm, if you live on Park Avenue - go for it, no one will notice. Not sure it is a good idea in Chili or Webster though. Who knows what the reaction would be in Pittsford or Brighton.

Of course if you did it in Henrietta they would just think you were some city person trying to set a new style... They get a lot of strange people in Marketplace mall...

Gosh! I just can't imagine! :D I'm currently over on Winton/East Main St area. Busy area, hehe. I work at a local 2 yr college (hmmm, now which could that be ...) and last semester the girls seemed to like wearing - the thin flannel jammie bottoms to school, coupled with flip flops. Oh my! Ya know, I think I'll fit right in.

'cept of course for the fact that my outfit really needs a pair of reading glasses on a beaded necklace around my neck and should be walking a fat fido as well! :D

I was actually back in the Rochester area a few weeks ago visiting folk. It is always interesting to go back to old haunts. We haven't lived in the Rochester area for more than 12 years (losing count) - things change - but they are still the same.

I'll just follow this up with the fact that I semi-chickened out and threw on the bike shorts and rode to the store - BUT I DID leave the jammie top on (just to embarrass myself in case I ran into any of my brethren out and about) and took a casual ride.

But upon bringing the bike back into the house and looking at myself in the mirror ... I did the most nerdiest thing -- and saw to my horror the 6" piece of clear fabric tape that clearly said M M M M M M M M on it - and it was right on the front of me. Looking back I can clearly see the cashier person looking at me oddly a couple of times.

Shoot, I better now go check for the ultimate price tag hanging from the back of me. :D hehe. I AM the ultimate date!

Dam things, LOL ---- I've actually ran home from the store, threw jeans on - wore them ALL night and then washed them. Stupid sticker/label even lives threw a washing!

BWAHAHAHA, Yes - dare I say it? I had the ultimate "kit" set up for Pheard's bike! Hmmm, now maybe I should start looking for that creek and doing the photogenic sprawl in it for the photogs. :D

I`ve been to Rochester many times and what I`ve learned is noone needs permissision to wear pajamas. Do what you want. Wear your PJ`s to Dinosaur BBQ!!!!
