Foo - Lets be friends!

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

It's exactly these type of questions why I want to stab myself in the face with a rusty nail. Right now. I wouldn't call it dated, unless one date counts as "dated". And then, nothing happened for a year or two. Literally nothing. Then the email, bunch of lunches/stuff. And I figured you know - back to post #1. And here we are.

heh. Was a bartender for several years, and saw the background to different things - saw mens doing it - saw womens doing it. Users. And it's sad that some people like this just don't care because it leaves the person wanting to date - a bad taste because the expectation may be that the next person may be like this last person ----- and it most likely won't be.
Scratch this one and move on.

Let's just be friends, or LJBF, means she wants to be frined. She does not want to be intimate with you, or be anything that friends. In other words she want to use you. You have absolutely no hope of ever being more than a friend with her.
Thus, unless you want a friend, move on. Forget her and move on.
By the way, the way to be friend with a girl is never to think of her sexually. Otherwise she can never be a friend. But you have a real possibility of being an emotional tampton. Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=emotional%20tampon&search=Search

I don't ever want to be friend with a girl. UNLESS she has some rere friend qualities that I'm looking for. I only want zex form her. Else, if she's sooooo darn good I want her to be my wife. Rare.

This doesn't surprise me one bit. Operator's modus operandi is to jump into some thread and, without reading any of the posts, impulsively insert something snarky like:
Shift poorly? Time to learn how to adjust your bike properly?
BB goes loose? Time to learn how to install it properly.
This PSA brought to you by, learn how to fix a bike.com.
If you're too lazy to take the time to read 15-20 posts on BF, good luck trying to read your date's needs and wants.

I would agree with this in general, except I think if you simply TRY and get action within the first few dates, you still may be in the clear. Some people just want to play the game longer than others.Nothing wrong with keeping things going long-term. ;) I was just pointing out that how things begin has a HUGE impact on the long-term results you get. There's usually two common paths:
1. bang'em ASAP, be up-front about it, don't hold back and no need to hide anything. THEN you can choose to be "friends" afterwards. In fact, you pretty much have a 100% sure-shot at being friends after the deed. You have both the power AND the choice to be friends with a chic you've bagged. In fact, things are so much easier after you've ravaged them 20 different ways all night long. They'll take you out for meals, cook for you, maybe even do your laundry, pamper you, etc. It's up to YOU on how things progress in the future. However...
2. being "friends" means different things to a guy vs. a girl. Remember, there is no such thing as non-gendered communications. You will ALWAYS be a man speaking with a woman. So the words and their surrounding context will have different meanings to each person. When a woman thinks of a guy as "just friends", it's really not the same kind of friend as her chics. He's probably actually a little below them in importance. That's what happens when you are "nice". However, a guy that she thinks is "hot, sexy, and funny", she'll usually place higher importance than her chics.
Here's an interesting paradox though... guys who are "nice" and "just friends" are kinda sneaky and not as trustworthy. Because a lot of guys are weasels and accept "being friends" as somehow a stepping-stone to progress and think that somehow they can work their way in. HAH! They really just come across as shady and makes the girls uncomfortable. Whereas guys who are always trying to get into her pants are seen as more open, honest and trustworthy; girls can deal with these kinds of guys because the hotties are hit on 20-30x a day. So basically the paths look like this...
1. be a pig first --> leads to 100% chance of being friends as well. You'll have the best of both and have lots of possibilities to choose from.
2. be "nice guy friend" --> and you have maybe a 1% chance of ever hitting it. And even then, it'll be A LOT of work and everything will be on her terms.
So it's just a choice, pick your path that leads to the results you want. It's kinda like choosing a cheeseburger or ice-cream dessert. A lot of guys will pick ice-cream and try to force it to become a cheeseburger by putting it on a bun and putting cheese, pickles, ketchup and mustard on it. Still won't taste as good as a cheeseburger, just order what you want in the beginning.
For me and my fiancé, did I try to get into her pants right from the start? You bet! Did I bag her within the 1st month? Sure! Has this past year been full of fun, romance and juicy excitement? Hell yeah!!! If I had chosen the 2nd path, we'd probably still be "friends" and I'll probably be calling her up weekly trying to set up "dates" where I can try to pull some tricky "moves"... HAH! Life is short, go straight for dessert first!!! :)
