Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

What is the best type of wood for the base of the ramp. Well, the curved part. I don't know the technical terms. The part that the tires actually touch. Anywho, what's the best type of wood for that part? Thanx!
3/4 inch plywood is the best. I wouldn't use anyhting thinner. I was using 1/2 inch once and it broke right in half while I was on the ramp. Just stand it up against something and let water run over the top for a few hours.

Ok. Sounds like a plan. I hope to build some soon, but it'll probably never happen. Oh well, a kid can dream.

Them damned old people and their "sooped-up" Rascal scooter things. Catching some sick air off their stolen ramp. I can see it now.

That's messed up. A scooter with hydraulics. Give me a link where I can see this thing. Thanx!

Its not really hydrolics, its just springs on the wheels that help with landing and what not...Its one of the more newer expensive scooters...
