For me, it was still a blast to watch. In hindsight, it is actually nice to see that the sport is trying to make doping more sophisticated, or make sure teams get better doctors (others may read that as "rid the sport of doping"). I am still sad that it is over. And I most certainly will be back next year to watch all the drama etc

It is inspirational to watch people overcome tremendous hardships odds to drag themselves up mountains, ride that much harder on flats etc It makes it more meaningful when I am doing the same on the hills around here or soloing on my centuries.

Say what you will. Feel how you feel [on doping], it was still fun to watch. Personally, I use Optygen, SportsLegs, Flax Seed Oil capsules and I'd use EPO if it was an OTC item; I completely understand the use in the pro circles; and this from someone who doesn't race at all; nor do I ride much with groups. Blood doping, I think is stupid. All else .. ? *shrug*

That is all.

See you all on these pages next July (off to other forums)

You would use EPO if it was an OTC item.

For what reason. You are not racing, and you take a risk of turning your blood into oatmeal if you over-do it.

Oh wait - this just may be the reason it is not OTC.

I don't know about the riders but I'm shattered ( absolutely worn out).

The Tour came through and won.

my wife is real happy, she loves France as much as i do but is tired of me laying on the couch watching endless miles of the peloton and the same commercials. It was exciting and I couldn't be happier they are busting people, proves it is working. The Tour isn't over until the final tests are complete though so lets not assume the podium stands.

Vive Le Tour indeed. I don't really hold these people in [that high an] esteem, but I enjoy watching the competition. Sure it is disappointing that they dope. What's more disappointing is that they do it at times that make one question their intelligence. If you use "supplements" in a controlled manner to intensify your training, but get off it in enough time not to be doped in competitions, who are we to say that's wrong.

That is to say, if you didn't test positive during competition, but you know you doped out of competition .. are you still clean?

I can't get over how much fun it is to watch the riders and teams and efforts on the climbs on in breakaways .. I'm simple, I guess.

You at least need a DVR to eliminate the commercials. I eliminated a lot more than that. This was the first tour i have watched a lot of. I just got Versus a couple weeks ago. I recorded every stage after that and truly enjoyed watching it.

I never really thought I would enjoy it that much because of the perceived boredom and my ADD. But it turned out to be a real joy every day. I suppose it is my love for riding that really creates the appeal, but again i was suprised by how much i liked it.

Now if they could only get it in high def next year, i will be a happier camper.
