I decided to take my wife on a motorcycle ride yesterday, so we only biked a few miles yesterday. She went 5 and I did about 11. We took our 1987 Kawasaki Voyager for a trip to Indianola, IA and watch the great balloon race evening launch. We have not been far on it since I just got down putting it back together after repainting it a 2007 Chrysler Cool Vanilla color.

Here are some of the 100+ balloons.

I think the link above will get you to the entire set of pictures from the balloon races. I am 43 and have lived in Iowa most of those years, and this is the first time I have been there. It only costs $3 per person to go in or $8 for a car load. Very well organized, and it was very nice relaxing evening. I can find their website if anyone else is interested in doing this sometime.

We rode our bicycles in the morning and worked with our youngest daughter on her mile run to be able to play volleyball in the fall. Then I rode 9.2 miles in the hills and came home and cleaned up and then went on a motorcycle ride. I have three dirt bikes that we haven't ridden much this year, and I was thinking of selling a couple of those and buying a used hybrid so I could ride the Wabash Trace trails that are made of crushed limestone, so I would need something besides my road bike with skinny tires.
