I put off the decision as long as possible, hoping the situation might improve enough for me to make the trip, but it just ain't gonna happen this year. My 19 YO daughter had a cerebellar hemorrhage (complication of a giant AVM diagnosed in 2005) just before Christmas and spent the first 5 months of the year in the hospital, with my wife or me by her side 24/7. She's been home almost two months now but still requires us to be constantly available to tend to her needs. It's a long slow recovery but things continue to move in the right direction.

I had really hoped by August things would have improved to the point where I could spend a weekend away but we just haven't yet reached that point.

I've got my sights set for next year and hope to help facilitate a BF meet and greet in 2008. In the meantime, I've got a spreadsheet of member names that have expressed interest in the 2007 meet and greet and am looking for a volunteer to take the list and see if they can pull something off. Any volunteers? Buehler? Buehler? Buehler? There are no plans in place but it seemed like most thought a Friday rendezvous would work out best. Maybe just establish a spot at the MPEC with a sign and people can congregate as they wander through.

Anyway...I am getting a ride in now and then, and I may try to do my own honarary HH100 century that day here closer to home. Good luck to everyone and have a safe and sane HH100! I hope I see y'all next year.

Don, I wish you and your family the best as always. My own HHH plans are still up in the air as well. I have more surgeries coming up and hoping that I can put them off till after HHH, and that I can still get housing. If I get a chance to go, I'll head up the get together organization.
