It's finally here! Right after I ordered the 5' model, i was told that BAW was introducing a new design. The new design looked very interesting, so I went ahead and waited. Well...it's great. I've only done a few errands, but it's been a joy to use. I'm able to haul lumber, and was able to get plywood as well (I had the plywood place 'rip' the plywood into 3 lengths). Yesterday, during a local street fair, my wife and I saw a pair of old wood chairs we liked at a store. After walking home, I hooked up the trailer and biked over to the store to get the chairs. Doing that in a car would have been a CHORE, due to the crowds.

Of course, a trailer this large takes more work to pull, as compared to, say, a BOB trailer. I've gotten reacquainted with my lowest two gears. I also remind myself to curb my exuberance on downhill runs, so as not to create a self-induced 'train wreck'!

I look forward to doing a big shopping run, going to several of the stores we use in one loop.

Looks like an extension ladder.....I wonder how easy it would be to make an extending trailer from an extension ladder.

Congrats! :)

I have their older model (48") and I love it too. I wish I had the new one but I'm doing just fine with mine. Maybe one day... who knows! The "modules" look damned interesting!

Tony, Tony, Tony, never let your neighbor know about such acquisitions... ;) So will you try out any bike moves?

Well...er...:o

I wanted to be sure I could actually USE the thing before I let my neighbors in on it. Yeah...that's it.

And I just might check out a bike move!

Niiiiiice trailer!

I like the modular design. I see huge potential in the whole modular design paradigm, well beyond this design..... think 'Thunderbird 2' if you know what I'm talking about. ;)

Update. Today, Mrs Biketony and I rode to Sellwood to look at a furniture consignment place. We found a great wingback chair, and I pulled it home in my BAW trailer. Most of the 4 mile (one way) trip is alongside a river, on a dedicated bike bath. So...a beautiful ride, great company AND bringing home a piece of furniture. Life is good.

Excellent. For you non-Portlanders, Sellwood is a neighborhood that is famous for their numerous antique stores. Some are overly expensive, others are not. It is easily accesible via an well-planned MUP from the neighborhood that biketony and I live in. A fantastic reason for a Bikes at Work trailer, IMO. :D
