Northeast - Branford CT area riding? Pls Help.

Will be in Branford for the month on August and hoping to get some serious road miles in. Problem is, I have never been in the area before and have no idea where to ride. Hoping to find some varied terrain that would allow me to get in 50+ miles in at a time.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Heads-up on group rides would be great!

On August 18th there is a century ride over in Willimantic if you want to make the drive (approx. one hour)

East rock park has a nice climb with a great view (actually the best view) of New Haven.

If routeslip is working, you can look up rides that others have posted.

And call Amity Bike shop. They've been around a long time and know the area.
