I rode out with my Road Racing Bike just like I do every afternoon..
Then 10 mins into the ride, cool showers began to come down.. Then a very strong headwind... I saw in the news last night that there was a typhoon coming.. Anyway it was raining all week, it was expected..
The pothole filled asphalt rode was so wet from this mornings rain so the water-filled potholes were almost unoticeable at a distance... Everytime I hit one(pothole), I can feel the mud hit my legs..
I was climbing a 5-8deg incline, the strong headwind was killing me, since i had to stand almost all the way just to battle the headwind..
When I got to the top(of my daily route), I started my descent slowly.. I was afraid that the bike would slip.. As I pick-up speed, I can feel mud+water hit my helmet.. This came from my rear wheel.. then I had to brake hard to a stop..
Water was overflowing on top of the bridge.. I thought "How, can I get through this?"
Then I saw a man cross, he carried his bike..
"what the heck! If he can do it, I can....." So I did(cross) on foot, the bike on my shoulders... The current was strong, good thing I was wearing MTB shoes...
I continued my ride home... This was an exciting ride...
Anyway, I just want to share my experience with you guys...
