After a relentless 8 weeks of business travel (and precious little biking), my girlfriend took me away to Saugatuck, Michigan last week. I threw my road-bike on the car not quite knowing what to expect. Yow! Right in front of the house we stayed, I noticed some suspicious road markings---a "HH" with an arrow. Naturally, I decided to follow the markings. The next thing I knew, I was up in Holland, Michigan following one of the routes that must have been used for the "Holland Hundred" ride. Over the next 5 days, I was riding all over that area (Saugatuck, Holland, Douglas, Fennville, etc.). Wow! Completely awesome.
Did anyone around here actually go on the Holland Hundred ride? What's it like? (I think I'm definitely going to put it on my calendar for next year even though it's a bit of a drive from Chicago).
