I currently ride a Marin Argenta road bike. Nothing stellar, but it works alright for now. I'm training with the goal of getting into tri's. Recently I was given an Deda Aero Blue Aerobar for this effort.
Now here comes the dopey part. I'm not entirely sure how to put it on the bike. He told me I could use my current levers so is it safe to assume I can remove my drops, (I know I need a new post for this bar) and put my levers on the aerobar?
I hate to sound like a maroon, but is it that simple? Or is there a better way? Since I am still in the beginning stages I hate to invest a fortune in switching things over.
The further question is what else don't I know about 'converting' my road bike to a tri bike? Other than geometry, which obviously I can't change, I'd sure like an opinion or two about this. Thanks.
