A recent exchange with another member here has sort of brought up an interest- I've got a few odd decals on my '74 Raleigh Sports.

Here's a couple details:

The seat tube Raleigh decal isn't the normal '74 one, rather it has large, block lettering.

There is no "Made in England" decal, rather I have a smaller yellow decal on the seat tube that says "Made in England, Assembled in USA".

Does anyone know why these are a little different on this bicycle?

Mike, what's the serial # stamped on the seat lug? If it starts with E, your bike was made in Enid, OK.

Hmmm the number on the back of the seat tube do you mean?

That's a number that starts NH 421 and so on. No E in that number.

That's a Nottingham serial number.
