Hi!! i need advice about a GT Talera. I have a GT Talera but its parts are not the best in the market, bad brakes, bad suspension, etc. I´d like to keep the frame, do you think it is worth it to keep the frame of this GT and try to get new brakes, suspension, and other parts; or do you think this frame it's not good enough to build up a good bike???
PLEASE HELP ME!! i´m a rookie in this matter!!!

Please provide a little more information.

How old is it?
What is the frame made of (CroMo Steel, Aluminum)?
What type of headtube is it (size, threaded, threadless, etc.)
What type of brakes does it have?

There is definitely a point where just buying a new bike is a better proposition, especially with the way prices continue to plummet...

In almost all cases it is not worth it to build up an old frame with all new stuff. The only time to do this is if you have a high end frame: IF, Colnago, Intense that kind of thing. Or if you really love the frame and generous family members.
